WILKES-BARRE — By the time you read this, I will have spent my Saturday in New York City — the Big Apple — with a group of friends. We were to tour the city, check out Christmas displays in the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan, and top the day off with a stop at Rockefeller Center to see the big tree. “It’s Christmas time in the city, ring a ling, hear them ring, soon it will be Christmas day.” And so goes that great Christmas song, “Silver Bells.” It got me to thinking.
