Beaumont ISD sent out letters Thursday to the 110 at-will employees who will be laid off as a result of a $25 million budget deficit. Of the 110 employees slated for elimination, more than 28 already retired or resigned, according to a press release from the district. The district has placed all but one of those employees in positions vacated by staff who have retired or resigned, according to the press release.
