LIMA — The Lima JCPenney store is celebrating 50 years at the Lima Mall, and even more in the Lima community. JCPenney opened in downtown Lima in 1918 and moved to the mall in 1966, according to a release from JCPenney. “JCPenney has a rich history in Ohio, opening one of the state’s first JCPenney stores on May 4, 1918, in downtown Lima,” according to the release.
