WATERLOO — Black Hawk County Democrats issued an apology for an “unfortunate” Facebook post that accused former President Ronald Reagan of being a white supremacist.The post went online July 15 but it had been removed when Black Hawk County Democratic Chairwoman Pat Sass was alerted to the post, after their Republican counterparts released a statement about the “offensive” post.The Black Hawk County Republicans called for local Democrats to issue an apology, which they issued Thursday afternoon.“On behalf of the Black Hawk County Democratic Party, I apologize for this unfortunate post,” Sass said in a statement.
