The Black American History Parade would have gone on rain or shine, but organizer Gloria Patterson's prayers were answered with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures. "They said it was going to rain but this is the perfect weather," Patterson said Saturday afternoon, taking a break from delegating tasks to sit back and watch people enjoy themselves at the Heritage Festival that followed the parade.
