Rod Blagojevich

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich on Wednesday was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for political corruption included trying to sell the Senate seat vacated by then president-elect Barack Obama.

Senh: Finally, a conclusion to this blatant misuse of power and corruption in state congress. Rod Blagojevich deserved every year of that sentence. Of course, I bet this won't scare any future lawmakers from trying to use their positions for financial gain.
