The insurer, Texas' largest health insurance carrier, confirmed that as of Oct. 1 it will no longer offer in-network coverage to customers wanting to use their broad-based employee health plans to see Kelsey-Seybold's 470 doctors at 20 locations across the region. A total of eight Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans, including preferred provider organization, or PPO, and point of service plans along with a federal employee plan will be affected, according to a bulletin on the Kelsey-Seybold website.
