Boston-based Jobs for the Future, a national nonprofit dedicated to growing the U.S. workforce, has received a $14.5 million award to fund education and training to people with criminal records, as well as other efforts to help them get good jobs. The grant comes from the Justice and Mobility Fund, which was launched in 2019 by The Ford Foundation and Blue Meridian Partners with support from the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies.
