The Boulder International Film Festival has something new on the program this year — the program. BIFF, which brought its first immersive Virtual Reality Pavilion to last year’s festival, is sticking with technology, and will feature a modern spin on the age-old paper program. This year, users can download the brand-new BIFF app and, through augmented reality, can view trailers for each film by hovering a smartphone over selections of the printed book. Pat Mallek, of Boulder’s Mighty Fudge Studios, helped bring the technology to life.
