Brexit will not derail IHS Inc.’s $13 billion merger with Markit Ltd., officials for the Douglas County-based information services firm said Friday. Britain’s vote to leave the European Union does not alter plans for the transaction, which would result in the combined company being based in London, IHS officials said. “As we began discussions about merging, we knew there were two possible outcomes for the EU referendum vote and we considered both as we planned the transaction,” IHS spokesman Ed Mattix said in an e-mailed statement.
