WILKES-BARRE — Olivia Musto started Wednesday not knowing where she wanted to have her 2019 wedding. Musto, 20; her mother, Mallory; and sister, Gianna, 16; spent their night at the Ultimate Girls’ Soiree at Genetti’s Best Western Plus, getting ideas for the celebration. Mallory said the women, all from Dallas, are “working together” to plan the wedding, and Olivia is proud she hasn’t become a bridezilla … yet. “I’m shocked at the amount of places to have a wedding,” the bride said. She added that once she finds the venue, she’s hoping everything will come together. The soiree was a partnership between Genetti’s and the Times Leader. Times Leader Adverting Director Kerry Miscavage said there were more than 100 brides registered for the event and more than 20 vendors on hand. Brides received a gift bag and a chance to win a $3,500 Sakari Salon and Spa prize pack, which included hair and makeup services for the bride and four bridesmaids, hair services for four groomsmen and up to eight hours of photo coverage. Sipping the drink of the evening, blushing bride, sisters Alyssa and Rachel Leandri were looking for help … all kinds of help. The bride, Alyssa, 28, of West Pittston, is getting married in May 2018 in Falls, but she was spending the soiree getting the feel for a wedding budget. “I just want to help her plan the best day,” Rachel, 22, of Wyoming, said.
