STARK, N.Y. (AP) — A flood-prone bridge in Herkimer County is getting $669,600 in federal funding for upgrades and repair. U.S. Sens. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand say the central New York Town of Stark will receive the Federal Emergency Management Agency money for the Route 168 bridge over a tributary of Otsquago (otts-KWAH'-go) Creek. Schumer says federal money will help make sure the bridge can better withstand the next major storm.
