The new Chevrolet Bolt electric car will have a range of 238 miles, making it the first electric vehicle sold in the U.S. with a range of more than 200 miles and an expected price of less than $40,000. That would beat the 215-mile range that Tesla has promised for its similarly priced Model 3 and tops some of Tesla's more costly Model S sedans. Range is the distance a fully charged electric vehicle can drive before its batteries are expended.
