Broken Ac On Colorado Springs Buses Leave Drivers, Passengers Sweltering

Faulty air conditioning units on city buses have made for scorching conditions for drivers and passengers on some routes in recent days. Mountain Metropolitan Transit bus driver George Borja said temperatures have risen above 100 degrees inside his bus on multiple occasions. On June 19, Borja reported a temperature reading between 106-108 degrees on a thermometer located next to his driver's seat and other bus drivers have experienced similar, and sometimes warmer, conditions on their routes, he said.
