Earl Huffman, who in his role as Colorado’s official Buffalo Bill impersonator, greeted important visitors to Colorado including British Airways passengers as they boarded the inaugural flight from London to Denver, died Tuesday at age 84. Huffman, better known as Al, dressed in buckskin to imitate frontier showman Buffalo Bill Cody and rode in parades, met celebrities at the Buffalo Bill Museum and participated in state dinners and ceremonial occasions, his daughter LaShara Nuss said. “He had the right attitude,” said Steve Friesen, director of the museum on Lookout Mountain.
