KINGSPORT — Word of mouth about a camouflage casket on display spread so fast during the April 11-12 gun show at the Meadowview Convention Center that people were asking for directions to it from the ticket taker. It was such a novelty that gun show patrons were standing in line to take “selfies” with the camouflage casket, and posting them on Facebook. When Kingsport businessman Weston Leonard opened Trinity Memorial Center in late 2013 he wanted to offer the bereaved more options for celebrating the lives of their loved ones.He doesn’t like to call them theme services, although he admits to offering an alternative experience to the traditional funeral.“We do offer traditional services, but we also try to do things that honor somebody’s life in the way they lived it,” Leonard told the Times-News Wednesday.
