AUSTIN – Campus carry is just one step away from being signed into law, after the state Senate on Saturday approved a version of the legislation that would give much greater control over its implementation to college presidents. "The bottom line is this, Senate Bill 11 makes concealed carry on Texas college campuses the law of the land, while allowing for very limited, reasonable prohibitions in unique campus locations," bill sponsor Brian Birdwell, R-Granbury, said during debate.
