GOSHEN - David Carlson, the Sparrowbush man convicted of first-degree manslaughter after fatally shooting a fugitive, will remain free on bond while his appeal is under consideration.Carlson was convicted in November in the 2013 death of Norris Acosta-Sanchez, a Ramapo man wanted on second-degree rape charges.Carlson's lawyers, including Benjamin Ostrer, contend he acted in self defense when Sanchez lunged at him.
