Although closing arguments were heard in the monthslong disciplinary hearing for Carol Stream Fire District Battalion Chief Joseph Gilles, accused of failing to follow orders to sign a performance plan, the case is not over yet. Commissioners will meet again later this month to decide Gilles' fate. "Your decision will last longer than your tenure as commissioners," said Aldo Botti, Gilles' attorney.
