Cedar Rapids Police Department arrested a 17-year-old boy Friday night for possession of marijuana and a handgun.According to a news release, at 5:27 p.m. Friday officers stopped a the boy near 16th Street and Washington Avenue SE and found that he was in possession of marijuana and a handgun. He has been charged with Possession of a Firearm as a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana, Possession of Tobacco Under the Legal Age, and Interference with Official Acts, according to the release.Due to state juvenile confidentiality laws, the Police Department is unable to provide the name of the juvenile or further details.
