Grading The Week: Broncos’ “Madden NFL 25” ratings are kind of brutal.
In one regard, the Pac-12 hasn’t splintered: All 12 schools remain tied to the bowls that have been affiliated with the conference in recent years. Exceptions are made for teams that qualify for the College Football Playoff as conference winners or at-large entrants. Otherwise, what’s past is present for the 2024-25 seasons.
The Hotline will provide weekly projections for the teams throughout the regular season.
Please note: We also unveil our weekly CFP picks each Monday.
The stretch run to an unprecedented college football season is fast approaching, with all the accompanying conjecture, debate and tribal messaging.

Parker, do you think Bo Nix’s footing problems when he throws are something we need to be concerned about? That awful, awful throw he made that landed between two wide-open receivers is going to be stuck in my mind for a while.

It’s been an issue with Bo Nix so far, though head coach Sean Payton usually tries to downplay the conversation.
Why Russ to judgment? Bo Nix beat the Jets at East Rutherford. In a monsoon. When Gang Green still had a pulse.
Yeah, yeah. You saw Sunday Night Football. You saw Russell Wilson chuck it like Denver never happened, which is exactly how Big Russ hopes the Pro Football Hall of Fame selectors treat 2022-2023.
Colorado women’s basketball coach JR Payne took some time to sit in front of the media on Monday to talk about a new era of Buffaloes basketball, with the next season just two weeks away from tipping off.
Payne made sure, however, to give some props to a former Buff.
“I can’t start the day without shouting out recent grad Jaylyn Sherrod, who became a WNBA champ last night,” Payne said after the New York Liberty knocked off the Minnesota Lynx in an epic series that concluded Sunday night.
Alejandro Mata seems to have found a groove in recent weeks and on Monday he was rewarded for his most recent performance.
Colorado’s junior kicker was named the Big 12 special teams player of the week after hitting both of his field goal attempts and all four extra points in a 34-7 win at Arizona on Saturday.
“Mata was outstanding today,” CU head coach Deion Sanders said after the game.
This is the third conference player of the week honor of Mata’s career.
