A fracas about a handgun and a knife led to a man fleeing in his underwear and a woman being arrested. Kristin Hinckley, 23, of China, was charged with aggravated assault and domestic violence terrorizing with a dangerous weapon after police were called to a Deer Hill Road home late Wednesday night. She was held without bail until Friday afternoon, when a judge at the Capital Judicial Center set bail at $500 cash with a Maine Pretrial Services supervision contract. According to an affidavit filed in court by Deputy Toby Pond, of the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office, Hinckley and her boyfriend, Kip Patten, 25, offered differing accounts of the incident, which followed an evening when they and their young daughter visited friends on nearby Sampson Road, in Windsor, and went home separately. Hinckley told Pond she was asleep when Patten arrived home, woke her, punched her in the face and threatened to kill her.
