West Coast dance aficionados get a rare treat this weekend when Meg Stuart presents four solo works and excerpts from full-length performances at CounterPulse. Stuart, an American choreographer and dancer in Brussels, uses her solo works in a unique way: “How to translate sensations and inner monologues into movement?” she asks. Is it possible to track the hesitation before speaking, the movements not chosen, the spaces we travel to when we are daydreaming, the memories and projections that cloud our awareness of the present?
