Schenectady The city is headed to court Wednesday in its latest efforts to seize dozens of properties — including a popular fast-food restaurant — that have been in tax arrears since 2012, according to a city lawyer presiding over the process. Deputy Schenectady Corporation Counsel Rachael Ward said Tuesday morning that the law department plans to file a motion in state Supreme Court to foreclose on 68 properties around the city. The city attorney cautioned, however, that she expected some delinquent property owners would make last-minute payments to halt the foreclosure proceedings.
