Beaumont native Matt Foley was relaxing at his Las Vegas home on Sunday night when he got a panicked call from his girlfriend.
Foley, 30, listened intently as she told him through short, quick breaths that someone was shooting into the crowd at the Jason Aldean concert she was attending on The Strip.

Piles of garbage and debris lining streets throughout Southeast Texas could be causing "serious latent medical illnesses" and contributing to a rise in respiratory illnesses, a health official said. 

Applications opened Sunday for the Charles Butt Scholarships for Aspiring Teachers, which offers 100 awards for students at a number of Texas universities.

The woman reportedly had previous drug convictions in the past. 

Tristan Dilley's friends and classmates mourned the loss of the "firecracker" high school freshman during a vigil Tuesday evening at Silsbee High School.
Dilley, 14, was fatally shot in a second-floor room of her mother's Buna home on Sunday evening.
