CHARLOTTESVILLE — Clintwood junior Kayla Mullins was named the VHSL Group 1A girls basketball player of the year on Friday. Mullins led the Lady Wave to victory the state championship game earlier this month in Richmond.Also earning first team all-state honors was Clintwood’s Ivvy Gulley (Jr.) along with Twin Valley’s Lexi Vance (So.) and Kara Goodman (Sr.).Honaker senior Laken Robinette was also a first team all-state selection.
