The Coal Port Hearings — Making Your Voice Heard

A crowd as high as 3,000 is expected next Thursday in Seattle as a trio of agencies ask public comment on how they should evaluate potential impacts of exporting millions of tons of coal to China from a terminal proposed at Cherry Point, north of Bellingham in Whatcom County. Previous “scoping sessions” in Whatcom, Skagit and Spokane Counties — held by the Washington Dept.
