Chicago's Brookfield Zoo is mourning the death of an 83-year-old cockatoo named Cookie. The Major Mitchell's cockatoo arrived at the zoo in 1934 and was the last survivor of the zoo's original collection. (Aug. 30)

A 26-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with a crash in Coral Springs on Sunday afternoon that killed a 6-year-old girl, police said.
