A high barometric pressure reading and a soft course made Saturday's Pikes Peak Ascent additionally grueling.Despite the heavy air, 33-year-old Colorado Springs resident Joseph Gray repeated as the first man to reach the mountain's summit, finishing in 2 hours, 8 minutes, 59 seconds.The time was roughly three minutes behind his winning time in 2016.
