Colorado Springs Student Accused Of Biting Officer During Confrontation

By Kassondra Cloos kassondra.cloos@gazette.com -A Pikes Peak Pathways student allegedly hit, kicked and bit a police officer on Friday, according to Colorado Springs police.The student, who has not been named because he is a juvenile, had been causing a disturbance involving a violation of school rules, police said. The student moved toward the officer aggressively and then attacked the officer when detained.Pikes Peak Pathways, on South Circle Drive, is a day treatment center that provides mental health and educational services and behavioral support to students in kindergarten through 12th grade.The officer sustained minor injuries but did not need medical attention.
