Actor Bernard Hill, who became known for many character roles, including King Theoden in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings and as Captain Edward Smith in James Cameron's Oscar-winning Titanic, passed away on May 5, according to his agent, Lou Coulson. The actor was 79-years-old.
