BOSTON — The first recipient of a genetically modified pig kidney transplant has died nearly two months after he underwent the procedure, his family and the hospital that performed the surgery said Saturday. A man died in a Sunday morning shooting on East Colfax Avenue, according to the Denver Police Department. The shooting happened in the 8800 block of East Colfax Avenue, Denver police reported at 5:41 a.m. Sunday on X. One victim, an adult male, was later pronounced dead on scene, according to a 6:49 a.m.
