A Wrens man is accused of robbery after he took cash from an Augusta store Saturday, deputies say.
About 8:15 a.m., Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were called to the Kmart store at 1647 Gordon Highway in reference to a theft, according to a statement from the department.
Deputies learned that 52-year-old Keith Johnson, of Cemetery Street, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier.
