The University of Denver women’s lacrosse team dispatched the Pac-12 champions in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday. Next up? The Pioneers held off Stanford 13-12 in a see-saw affair at Martin Stadium in Evanston, Ill., setting up DU to face top-seeded Northwestern in Sunday’s second round.

Undrafted free agent and cornerback Quinton Newsome is in Denver but hasn’t signed yet, a source told The Denver Post.
More | Talk | Read It Later | ShareGabe Landeskog has been joining his Colorado Avalanche teammates on the ice with more regularity in a tracksuit as the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs have progressed. But it doesn’t sound like he’ll be out there in full gear in the immediate future. Friday is the one-year anniversary of Landeskog’s cartilage transplant surgery in his right knee.
