Police are searching for the suspect in a Thursday night shooting in southeast Colorado Springs that injured a 29-year-old man.
The man was walking in the 1100 block of East Verde Drive about 6:20 p.m. when he got into an argument with people in a car driving by, police said.
A man got out of the car, pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim, police said.
High school graduation rates in the Colorado Springs area outpaced statewide rates, which continued to inch upward last year, according to statistics released Thursday by the Colorado Department of Education. Dropout rates also are showing slight improvement.
Statewide, 78.9 percent of students in the class of 2016 graduated from high school in four years, up from 77.3 percent in 2015.
