Harris County Juvenile Judge Glenn Devlin decided that the agency should continue to have legal control over the children, who were in CPS emergency custody. A CPS caseworker said the agency requested conservatorship based on interviews in which at least three of Tami Bleimeyer's children reported that her actions contributed to the emaciated boy's condition. During questioning, Tami Bleimeyer admitted that her stepson was "skinny" but denied withholding food or making him live in a closet under her Spring home's stairwell - as her children have alleged. The youngster - who weighed just 29 pounds - was near death, according to members of his medical team who testified last week at his custody hearing.
