Comment on Waterloo police find stolen gun during traffic stop

Waterloo police recovered a stolen handgun during a traffic stop Friday morning.According to police, officers with department’s Violent Crime Apprehension Team made a traffic stop in the 500 block of Broadway Street for an equipment violation and another investigation. Police said when they made contact with the vehicle, one suspect — later identified as 25-year-old Termaine Deshawn Toles of Waterloo — was seen reaching down under his seat.Toles and several other subjects were detained were detained while officers searched the vehicle.
