After outcry, General Mills scraps new 'no sue' privacy policy

General Mills Inc. over the weekend abandoned a controversial new privacy policy that sought to bar consumers from suing the company if they engaged with General Mills online, after the new rules sparked a backlash on social media. The change,  announced on General Mills' blog Saturday, was a reversal from the company's position barely a day earlier,  when representatives said the policy would stay and that its position had been mischaracterized (especially by media reports saying that "Liking"…
