Arizona Senate denies Glendale’s bid for Super Bowl money citing Coyotes deal

The Arizona Senate has killed a measure that would have helped the city of Glendale pay for security costs related to hosting next year’s Super Bowl. Glendale has been complaining that it cannot afford the estimated $3 million in security costs for the big game and other events University of Phoenix Stadium. The Senate voted down a measure to use state money to help Glendale with Super Bowl security.
