JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Legislative leaders were working toward a possible agreement on an education package Wednesday. Much of the day was marked by delayed meetings and floor sessions, while majority caucuses met and talks continued between the House and Senate's chief negotiators, Rep. Mike Hawker and Sen. Kevin Meyer. Failure to reach agreement on an education package by the scheduled end of session Sunday sent lawmakers into overtime.
