A man driving a BMW while under the influence of alcohol lost control and crashed on Highway 101 in Santa Clara, killing a passenger, authorities said. Stephen Craig Hunt, 42, of Sunnyvale was speeding in a 2010 BMW on northbound Highway 101 north of Great America Parkway about 11:55 p.m. Wednesday when he failed to negotiate a turn and lost control, said California Highway Patrol Officer Ross Lee.
