Decades in the making, Canada works to institute a national missing persons DNA databank

After more than a decades of campaigning from families, politicians of all stripes and the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, Ottawa has pledged to create a DNA-based national missing persons index to help authorities identify the hundreds of unidentified remains across the country
