A man is in jail after reportedly being talked out of stealing money from a cash register, failing to rob restaurant patrons and flubbing his attempts to persuade people to give him their cars in the International District on Thursday night. A 40-year-old man entered a restaurant in the 600 block of Fifth Avenue South about 8 p.m.
