A proposal to build two 18-hole golf courses on the shores of Walter E. Long Lake Metropolitan Park in East Austin, with an eye towards attracting a PGA-level tournament to the city, has the support of city parks and recreation officials, according to a report in the Austin American-Statesman. The golf course proposal comes from Decker Lane Golf LLC, a group headed by Warren Hayes and Austin-area pro-golfer Joe Ogilvie.
