A 43-year-old Louisiana man was sentenced to death Tuesday after he helped kidnap a Florida State University graduate student in Tallahassee in 2010, then killed him in a St. Augustine field, according to the State Attorney’s Office. Kentrell Feronti Johnson, one of three men charged in the crime spree that started with a Louisiana prison break, had been convicted in late June of first-degree murder and kidnapping, according to prosecutors.
