Oklahoma football: Jordan Evans remains a hometown hero

Deep into his senior season at Norman North, the three-star recruit lacked an offer from not only Oklahoma but any other power-conference school. But in late November 2012, after watching the Sooners beat Oklahoma State in overtime, Evans finally got an OU offer and a day later, he was committed to the Sooners. Now, less than two years later, not only is Evans the starting inside linebacker for the Sooners, he’s one of the most indispensable members of the defense.
