Duncan was one of nine BISD employees who earlier this year was issued a certified educator's contract in error, said Dwaine Augustine, assistant superintendent for human resources. Jessie Haynes, former special assistant to the superintendent who was fired last month, also had an educator contract in error, he said. Several BISD parents spoke in support of the department during the public comment portion of the meeting. The teacher has been accused of having an improper relationship with a student, according to Enterprise media partner 12News.
