A Tallahassee appeals court will take a pass on considering the constitutionality of Florida’s redrawn congressional maps, which have been the subject of a lengthy legal battle. In a 2-1 ruling released Wednesday, the court agreed with arguments put forward by a coalition of plaintiffs that the case should be “certified” directly to the Florida Supreme Court because it will require complex and time consuming analysis.
