The spill was reported in the area between North Isle Royale Drive and East Vistapark Drive.About 18,400 gallons of the raw sewage went into a storm drain and into the Arroyo Simi where it runs between North Isle Royale Drive and South Moorpark Avenue, officials said. The storm drain to the arroyo was sandbagged to isolate the sewage going in the drainage channel and the blocked sewer line was cleared. The sanitation department also posted warning signs in the area advising the public to avoid contact with the affected areas for at least 72 hours, officials said. For more information about the incident, contact Ventura County Waterworks District at 378-3000.
