Three girls were rescued Wednesday after being trapped in a large current at a Ventura beach, officials said.A Ventura City Fire engine company noticed three swimmers in distress about 5:30 p.m. while checking ocean conditions at the end of Greenock Lane.The 12-year-old girls were trapped in a large rip current 150 feet off shore in medium surf, officials said.The rescue swimmer was able to get to the girls and help them back to shore.
